And I'm sober and not craving alcohol at all. It's amazing what eating food does. I also walked for 45 minutes, so that made me feel good.
I ate a yummy lunch of hummus with cucumbers and red peppers and made some "frozen yogurt" with greek yogurt, frozen banana, frozen strawberries and stevia.
I just finished my third quart of water with lime juice. I need to get some sparkling cherry seltzer. I LOVE bubbles.
I'm trying not to stress out about my job situation. I am waiting for a very big opportunity to pan out. I'd say there's a 75% chance it will, but if it doesn't, I have to be OK with that. I have to be sober and healthy in order to do this job. That is part of the reason I was going to do the extreme diet as well.
You will be healthy if you are sober!!! Your weight is not the only thing that defines good health.. Have you ever heard of a "fat skinny person?" It's a person that is externally overweight (based on BMI) but have the insides of healthy, thinner person> Conversely, there are "skinny fat people." People who are skinny on the outside (based on BMI) and have the insides of someone that is unhealthy! It seems like you have eaten very healthy today. You haven't drank today. You journaled about your feelings today via your blog. Sounds to me like you are very much on your way to being healthy!!! xo
ReplyDeleteThank you. I am definitely not healthy. I have high blood pressure and am pretty sure my liver is compromised. In my line of work, I have to look good, so it's stressful to know I may lose the opportunity because I don't "look the part".. that being said, my main priority has to be my health and for now, sobriety is my only hope for that.
ReplyDeleteI bet quitting drinking will lower your blood pressure!!!! xo
